We Are Alive - International Panelist @ Reimagining the Museum

In my role as emerging museum professional, I was delighted to be invited to be part of an international panel in Buenos Aires, Argentina in the fall of 2016.

Nuu-chah-nulth from the Ahousaht First Nation on the West Coast of Vancouver Island, BC. J'net AyAy Qwa Yak Sheelth (One who gives away and still stands tall) currently works as an arts educator and lives with her family in Toronto.

Artistically, J'net expresses herself through traditional cedar bark weaving and contemporary textile art on clothing to retain and sustain her West Coast oral story traditions.

Professionally, J’net’s goal is to work as a cultural resource, mentor and facilitator to create forums that engage with Indigenous communities which foster networks and celebrate through culture and the arts.
